Details of the chance to win a cash prize for submitting new Orlando links
This is a brand new contest and the very first week begins on Wednesday May 19 at 11:16pm and ends Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 11:15pm. You can earn the chance to win cash every week for finding Orlando websites that are not yet in our directory and submitting them for approval. You must register on the site before you can submit new site links. After registering you may add sites for review by clicking the add site menu item.
Upon submitting an Orlando site link, the site must be approved by Otown411 directory staff. It must not already exist in the directory, and it must be a true Orlando metro site and not another Orlando directory or national site where the user has to enter a zipcode or city to search for Orlando first. The site link must be one click to a real Orlando site as promised to our readers.
The contest ends every Wednesday night at 11:15pm at which time the Florida Lotto Powerball drawing is made. The number of accepted links added to the directory on behalf of you for the seven days prior to the drawing is your winning number. So if you submitted ten links that were added to the directory for the seven days prior to Wed at 11:15pm, then ten is your winning number. The first person matching their winning number with the earliest drawn Powerball number wins.
If nobody matches their winning number with the first Powerball number, then the next chance at winning becomes the second Powerball number. If nobody wins, then the third number is used, then fourth, and last chance for the week is matching your winning number with the fifth drawn Powerball number. If nobody matches by the fifth Powerball number then there is no winner for the week and the win amount rolls forward to the next week.
The win amount is the dollar value of the sixth (Powerball) number (e.g. 29 drawn = $29 usd), plus any money that rolled over from prior weeks without a winner. If multiple persons match their winning number with the same Powerball drawn number then the pot is split evenly between winners.
An example is the following, if you submit and have approved, ten Orlando links between Wed after 11:15pm and up until the drawing on the following Wed at 11:15pm then your winning number is ten. If the first Powerball number drawn is a ten then you win, otherwise assuming nobody else matched the first number, you have a second chance to win by matching the second number. This repeats until five numbers have been drawn. If nobody matched by the fifth number then the value of the sixth Powerball number is added to the carryover total for next weeks contest.
You only need to submit and have approved one Orlando link to be eligible for the contest for that week in which case your winning number would be one. But if you don't submit any new links for a given week, then you are not eligible to win the prize for that week.
Winners will be paid by money order or Paypal whichever the winner chooses.
